TankAssist is an AddOn which supports you in assisting one or more tanks (main tank, off tank, other tanks). It graphically displays the target of the tank and lets you assist the tank either by clicking the target, by assigning a key for the tank or by executing a macro (slash command).

FAQ / How To
How can I setup (assign) tanks?
You can setup tanks by slash commands. The commands are '/tankassist1 name' for the first tank, '/tankassist2 name' for the second, up to '/tankassist4 name' for the fourth tank. Name is the name of the player you want to assist. He does not have to be in your group, nor in your raid. But if he is, you will get additional info in the target window, like the health of the target.
You can also abbrevate above commands by '/ta1', '/ta2', ... for a quicker tank assign procedure.
How can I remove tanks from the list?
You have to give 'none' as the name to the slash command, e.g. '/tankassist3 none'. This will also hide the window for this tank.
How can I assist the tank?
Either by clicking in the window, by assigning a key (see below) or by creating a macro (slash command) (see below)
How can I assign a key?
Go into the keyboard setup section in the World of Warcraft config and search for the section titled 'Tank Assist'.
How can I assist with a slash command?
You can type '/tankassist n', where n is the number of the tank you want to assist (1-4).
How can I move around the target windows?
You can them move around by holding down the shift key while you click the window (with the left mouse button).
How can I hide the target window(s)?
You can hide them by remove the tank from the assign. Please see above how this works.
How can I reset the window(s)?
You can reset them with /tareset
How can I toggle the display of the target of the tanks?
You can toggle it with /tatoggletarget
Why are names different colored (white and yellow)?
If the name is in white it means that you and the tank have the same target. If it is in yellow it means that you have a different target as the tank.
Is there a gui? Does it work with Cosmos/Khaos?
There is no standalone gui, but it is fully integrated into Cosmos/Khaos. To get Khaos please go to www.cosmosui.org
